When a package is delivered to your home and a signature is requested, that does not mean you have to sign for it. In fact, if you do not sign for the package, eventually it will be returned to the sender.
Sometimes we might not want what people send us – so why do we sign for it?
A wise person taught that if a giver gets someone a gift and the receiver does not accept the gift, then that gift still belongs to the giver. In the same way, if a person attempts to project anger, jealousy, or hatred onto you, and you do not accept those things, then the anger, jealousy, or hatred remains with that person.
The next time someone tries to give you anger, jealousy, or hatred, do not “sign for the package.” Regardless of how difficult it might be to do, do not accept it. When you do not accept it, the anger, jealousy, or hatred remains with the one who is attempting to give those things to you.
Anger, jealousy, and hatred do not bring anyone peace. Eventually, the sender of these things will have to learn how to either deal with them or let them go. By not accepting them, however, it is no longer your issue to confront.
In fact, if you do not want what comes with any of the negative energy of others, do not sign for the package in which they send it.
